Breathwork is really powerful for helping to balance and nurture the nervous system.
When I started my own healing journey, my nervous system was completely out of balance. I was stressed, anxious, having trouble sleeping, had digestive and hormonal imbalances and a long list of other health symptoms. For several months, I went from doctor to doctor, getting referred to specialists, natural practitioners, and beyond, and no one could figure out what was “wrong” with me.
It wasn’t until I was introduced to the nervous system and its vital importance in our overall health, that I began to study everything there was to know about this system. And through this research and studying, I was introduced to breathwork.
Of all of the breathwork exercises and different kinds of breathwork that I practice, this exercise is the one that I use the most. It is super quick and simple to perform, yet it’s so powerful and can immediately shift the nervous system into a state of calm.
You can use it anytime you need to in order to bring your nervous system out of fight or flight and into a state of calm, or at night time before sleep. I bet this exercise will quickly become one of your go-to self care practices too.
